Hi Val!
What a great exercise!

What were your highlights from last year?
My highlights from last year included growing a lush vegetable garden, learning about Access Consciousness, finding my way back "home", letting go of the people, places and things that no longer served me, tuning in to my body more deeply, and creating a deeper and more profound relationship with Mother Earth.

What strengths and habits can you capitalize on this year?
Trust, faith and "knowing" as I follow my passion to create my life and business.

What two or three action steps will you commit to this week?
1. Taking time each day to include the Gutpa Amydala Retraining program,
2. Start blog and/or website
3. Making time to write

How was this experience for you?
I enjoyed it. It was a simple, but effective way to look at successes from last year and see how to expand and move forward in to the New Year.

Thank you for sharing this process!
Namaste,
Kat

Hi Gloria, I appreciate you for sharing so openly. You are not alone. I love that you acknowledge the blessing of a loving giving family. Have you heard of Dave Ramsey and his Financial Peace University? Classes are taught locally and he is on the radio. His advice isn't for everyone, but if you really want to get your financial house in order, his teachings are priceless.

Hi Val! You must be reading my mind. Overwhelm is that constant snake in the grass, ready to strike seemingly out of nowhere. It's amazing how easy it is to forget to breathe! This exercise allows me to see the snake before it strikes. Thanks for the reminder.

I have recently been prescribed both anti-anxiety and anti-depressant medications. As a single mom of two teenage boys, I have found myself deeply in debt financially and with no end in sight as to where to start fixing it. This keeps me up every single night, plagues my days and generally makes me extremely anxious.

I'm blessed with a loving, supportive, generous family and they have been there for me and my sons since the day my ex-husband and I spilt up. This brings me enormous guilt as to not being capable enough to provide for my sons on my own. It also makes me feel indebted to them.

I have tried to stay on top of thing and always have the feeling of treading quicksand. I have medical bills, loans, rent, utilities, cable, cell phones, lunch money, gas, groceries, etc. on my mind 24/7 and how to juggle each paycheck to meet these obligations. I'm sickened by it and am hopeless.

These are great hints! I can personally attest to the fact these simple changes result in huge returns in term of over all health and well being. I did learn however that natural fiber shower curtains require considerably more upkeep so have opted to use a nylon curtain which is just as effective but doesn't end up with mold and mildew.

I would caution on the use of eos[essential oils] they are not healing for the planet and because, generally speaking, they are not used properly can cause health hazards. A far better option for humans as well as the earth are infused oils. http://www.ashtreepublishing.com/bookshop/articles/essential-oils.php

Here is another highly informative article regarding eos. http://www.susunweed.com/herbal_ezine/January07/goddess.htm

Thanks for the tips Kathy. Do you have to blanch the tomatoes first or do you just freeze them raw?

I wish manufactures were required to state their cans are lined on the label! My diet is basically raw but I do the grocery shopping for my hubby who enjoys cooked foods. One thing I have been doing for years is freezing whole tomatoes. When it is time to use, simply hold the tomatoes under hot water to quickly and easily remove the skin and then proceed with your recipe. When freezing cherry tomatoes, take them out of the freezer 10 minutes or so before dinner and they will be like eating them fresh off the vine! This helps eliminate most of the need for buying them canned at the store. However, if we run out of frozen I will make a conscious decision to only buy those in glass jars.

Another way to avoid the linings in cans is to buy fresh, dried or frozen.
